Proenza Schouler. Mulberry. Miu Miu. Dr. Martens? It’s true – the fantastic androgynous indie chic satchels pictured above are, in fact, part of a limited edition collection from throw back super star Dr. Martens. Created by a small team of saddlery specialists in London, the beautiful bag uses the very same classic smooth leather used in the brand’s prestigious ‘Made in England’ range of footwear. Available in five (very rad) heritage DM’s colors and retailing for a mere $190, the satchel is limited to only 350 pieces across all colors worldwide so shop now or forever hold your peace!

We were seriously coveting the new Hex Collection by Philip Crangi’s Giles & Brother, enough so that we were definitely considering ignoring the $175-$390 price tags. UNTIL we discovered the amazing DIY version dreamt up by Lauren Kolodny and Erica Chan Coffman of Honestly…WTF – which is not only just as amazing, but seems impossibly simple to re-create! Can’t wait to give it a shot…

A while back we introduced the idea of short wedding dresses as a more casual alternative to the classic royal-worthy ballgown. Times have quickly changed and mini-clad brides are no longer only for casual cases…the most coveted designers from Oscar de la Renta to Monique Lhuillier are now not only offering shorter options but are incorporating nearly as many micro designs in to their collections as they are classics. Having fun with your dress is key and what could be more playful than girlish above the knee glamour? With the trend catching on so quickly you can easily find anything you had imagined in a petite version from super chic to simply sophisticated, romantic to contemporary, exceptionally embellished details to layers upon layers of textured tulle – we see short popping up everywhere and boy are these new looks ready to compete with the classics. Check out some of our favorite short wedding dresses by Priscilla of Boston and so many others at priscillaofboston.com!

We are always after the super chic stylings of the fabulous Taylor Tomasi Hill and this Fashion Week proves no different…the influential editor usually stays true to one bold accessory favorite like her infamous Cat Eye sunglasses and this season no one could miss her statement staple – a very blue, very simple and very covetable Celine clutch. While we are definitely loving the look, our favorite thing about TTH is that she makes it so cool to keep it obviously consistent…inspiring us to invest in something a little more daring.

For a long long time we have been sifting through grandmas’ jewelry boxes looking for one-of-a-kind finds that would result in strangers eyeing our hands, wrists, necks and ears with a coveted, “WHERE did you get that?!” We quickly learned that vintage was definitely the way to go and not only because we could easily adorn ourselves in unique pieces but quite simply because they just don’t make ‘em like they used to. Now that others have caught on, designers across the board are reproducing and creating vintage-inspired pieces that are easily accessible and available at a wide range of price points. Our favorite has always been and will always be, the ultimate antique trend, Yellow Gold. Find some of our top picks and other amazing vintage-inspired Gold Jewelry at ShopNBC and be sure to spend time going through the sites hundreds of pages because we definitely stumbled upon some hidden gems, no pun intended.

A fabulous chandelier instantly updates any room…that is definitely the lesson learned during hours spent flipping through home decor magazines while trying to redecorate our small NYC space. We also discovered that good decorating, like good styling, comes with a hefty price tag. Yet while investment pieces are always key, it just so happens that we found these inexpensive statement-making beauties (along with hundreds of others at an incredible range of price points) at the often overlooked Home Depot! Remember good style always requires major cross-shopping. Happy decorating!

$20,000 wedding gowns are a thing of the past – well, not quite, but at least there are now viable alternative options. We are talking about the brand new collection that the one and only Ms. Vera Wang has designed for David’s Bridal. Yes, you heard correctly. Vera’s brand new diffusion collection can be found at none other than the bridal super store itself. AND – here’s the kicker – these designer wedding dresses, complete with famed Vera details like black crystal encrusted tulle bows, horsehair sashes and 100-layer cake skirts, range in price from just SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. If I remember correctly that’s less than our New York City electric bill at times. Check out the collection, launching this week, at davidsbridal.com.
