We pretty much died when we found out that you can now purchase edible metallic spray paint to spruce up your food, courtesy of The Deli Garage. Guilded food with the touch of a finger…this really just makes us want to have fancy dinner parties every night. Plus it gives us a reason to buy super extravagant china…after all you can’t serve Gold tomatoes on off-white ceramic plates.

Although it’s just beginning to get warm out, we can’t help but get incredibly excited about the Fall 2010 color palette…no more are the days when you can’t mix neutrals, this Fall is going to be all about black and brown, black and gray, black and navy and our favorite, taupe and khaki! Recently we discovered a designer who not only blows some of our previous front runners out of the water but shows us just how to mix neutrals in quite possibly the hottest way possible…the transformable way. Layering is always fun, layering in this color palette is even better…layering in this color palette with pieces that can be taken apart and re-worked time and time again, brilliant. Not to mention the duality of ancient warrior meets futuristic power woman is just statement making fashion perfection. We really do love you Haider, keep ‘em coming.

The Last McQueen Show:

Those fortunate enough to experience the Paris runways first hand this season were unsure of exactly how to feel the other day when the very last Alexander McQueen show (at least the last designed by McQueen himself) debuted for a select group of fashion elite. While there was an overall feeling of somber and sadness weighing over the idea that we would never again see the genius of Alexander McQueen, there was also a certain joy that surrounded as it was apparent that his final collection was actually a new beginning, a perfect way to honor his brilliance and that his legacy would live on. It is only fitting that the collection represented a certain level of royalty, heavily inspired by the baroque embellishments adorning the aristocracy for hundreds of years. The incredible beauty shining off of the luxurious materials that were so impeccably draped and tailored by McQueens two hands, were impossible not to adore and awe. He was true magic and his clothes are very much alive, they are more than fabric, they are art: pieces that will add elegance, glamour, drama and artistry to our history forever and give true meaning to the art of design and the world of fashion.
