Playful pastels and mystical metallics swept the runway for Spring ‘10 Couture. From the futuristic structure seen at Armani Privé to the feminine lace and baroque romanticism seen at Chanel and Elie Saab, the catwalk was crawling with modern day fairies decked in ethereal fabrics and glittering embellishments. The soft palettes were definitely a breath of fresh air compared to the harsh neons still staking claim at Valentino (a show full of looks we’re not so sure Mr. Garavani would be fond of), we will definitely be dreaming in muted color this season. When in doubt, go for the Silver & Gold.

We just got wind of a very new, very exciting launch…from the mother-daughter duo behind Aaneta handbags comes a new signature collection: Valeria by Aaneta. The collection basically blew our minds when we got a sneak peak at the luxe materials like painted snake and pebbled leather & the incredible details like exposed zippers and pyramid studded straps…all at unbelievable price points (we are talking genuine snake clutches for under $300!)
As if the excitement of a fabulous new bag line isn’t enough, the designers behind the brand, Ana and Valeria, decided it was time to give something back so they are donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of EACH & EVERY bag to charity. They are currently working with an amazing organization called Project Night Night which benefits underprivileged children. We are so happy to be one of the first to share the amazing Valeria by Aaneta with the world…make sure you check them out, Valerinaonline.com

Talk about being princess for the day…Maison Martin Margiela has created limited edition glass slippers, just like the ones worn by Cinderella herself, of course. At $1,277 per shoe, the pair doesn’t come cheap, but then again…they are a true work of art so buying just one may not be such a bad move after all.

Most recently our shopping addiction has moved beyond clothing, shoes and accessories to include home goods. It is because of unbelievably inspiring interior designers like Michael Habachy that we are so taken with decor and the road to achieving fabulous home style. Habachy’s combination of monochromatic palettes, gothic glamour, royal luxuries and whimsy details results in sheer interior perfection. Now we know obtaining such a sublime atmosphere is no easy feat, nor is it cheap..but we have found some fabulously inexpensive ways to spruce up your chic living spaces, with the occasional splurge of course. We definitely lean toward the whimsical color scheme but our moto is a touch of drama is always best so don’t be afraid to go a little over the top…fur throws and mirrored accessories usually do the trick.
1) Crate and Barrel Dubois Mirrors – $159 for Set of Two
2) Williams-Sonoma Anderson Wing Chair – $1,250-$2,500
3) Z Gallerie Mariposa Box – $34.95
4) Ikea Ung Drill Frame – $24.99
5) Ikea Rens Sheepskin Throw – $24.99
Background) Z Gallerie Large Everglades Square Tray – $49.95

Getting ready for Fall is always a fun transition, we’re pretty tired of spaghetti straps and sandals by that time and are already counting the days until we can pile on the layers. Getting cozied up is our favorite part so we were thrilled to see this season’s Pre-Fall runways were covered in fur, fuzz and feathers! From Michael Kors and Riccardo Tisci’s monochrome pallettes to the soft color blocking prints used by Phoebe Philo & Marc Jacobs, tailored skirts, heavily beaded dresses and knee-length swing coats are all adorned in piles of furry materials. While every designer certainly had luxury on the mind, their executions were very different: clean, sophisticated lines for Michael Kors, playful minimalism for Celine, the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine for Givenchy, baroque glamour for Naeem Khan; they all do their thing & top it off with the perfect amount of comfy fabulousness…we could not be more excited to pop our Pre-Fall fur collars.

It is no wonder Vogue Nippon made Anna Dello Russo Fashion Editor at Large, she is certainly larger than life and she dresses the part. Every day we find her more inspiring and more enviable than the last. Check out a few of our favorite ADR moments.

The magical feeling you get when you cross Modern with Vintage could easily be described without the use of words…all you need is one look at the incredible jewelry of Jennifer Elizabeth. We fell especially head over heels for her Rocks & Baubles collection, necklaces and bracelets brilliantly made of vibrant satin ribbons intertwined with vintage chains and one of a kind antique details. The New York based designer handcrafts each spectacular piece to be a perfectly unique mix of everyday ease and bold glamour. Check out the rest of her extraordinary jewels at jenniferelizabeth.com…just in time to start accessorizing for Fashion Week! (The schedule was just released today!)
