Looking good doesn’t always mean compromising your paycheck. L.L.C. has found that you could easily take yourself from day to night for under $150 bucks (YES, that’s less than $150 total, including TWO pairs of shoes!) with some great staples from Forever 21. A ridiculously incredible selection of fashion-forward pieces from frayed jeans and cotton biker jackets to oversized cocktail rings and even zipper adorned booties that almost impossibly rival Balmain, make it inconceivable to have any excuse to not look your best. We do, of course, always suggest mixing high and low to ensure top quality styling at all times. Yet in this economy, we truly thank stores like this for making it possible to always feel good and stay on top of the trends, even in the worst of times. For more, check out Forever21.com.

It takes a pretty fabulous product for us to center a post around it but we feel really good about this one…TRESemme Tres Two Hairspray is simply wonderful. Lately we’ve been big in to the bohemian hair, the messy loose waves that scream sexy without trying…but it takes a good hairspray, one that holds but leaves your hair soft instead of stiff, to get that perfect look. This one is definitely the one. And the best part is you can get it at any drug store for about five bucks. Trust us, try it for yourself…Tresemme.com for retailers.

Miranda Kerr is going high fashion and of course she made the most important decision of her career in doing so with V Magazine. Who better to launch her high fashion career than the magazine that creates a true work of art through each and every editorial. Check out Miranda, photographed by Willy Vanderperre, in stylist Olivier Rizzo’s postmodern pinup, “Pin Me Up, Pin Me Down” also featuring model Ana Beatriz Barros. For more check out V Magazine’s Issue #62.

In our minds, it used to be that fashion was all there is. But as we’re growing and spending countless hours writing thank you notes to all of those that have supported us along the way, we’re quickly realizing the importance of great stationery…in fact, we’re quickly falling in love with great stationery, thanks in large part to Linda & Harriet! Not only is their gorgeous letterpress technique an easy way to make sure you’re on top of the trends and personalizing your style through notes just as you would through clothing, but their cards are simply adorable…the colors, the design and most importantly, the message. “You’re the best” is expressed through a sweet little elephant guarding a chick from the rain (pure brilliance), “Happy Birthday” is accompanied by a tower of girlishly posh cake stands and blank cards are adorned with (could we be more excited) paper doll dresses! In addition to the fabulous wide range of classic stationery, L & H offers a custom collection through which you can create completely unique, incredibly personal invitations, announcements, notecards, the works. For more info & to purchase check out Lindaandharriet.com. Beware, you may find yourself with a new obsession.

We do love tats BUT only if they’re not cheesy, trashy, tacky, tasteless OR totally cliché, which unfortunately has become more difficult to achieve than one would think. These new hot spot tattoos, however, are just that…they are seriously JUST PLAIN HOT!

Want to dress like the best…we all do, but everyone knows that just isn’t reality. After all, the stars are getting a good majority of their wardrobes as gifts. So, back by very popular demand, L.L.C. has created another fabulous “Look the Part but Don’t Pay the Price” so that all of us can be just as fabulous as those who inspire us. Check out what Rihanna actually wore below (an outfit that totaled an incredible $5,777 NOT including the vintage biker boots) and how we would wear it for 5% of the price!
What She Wore:
1 ) Linda Farrow & Matthew Williamson Aviator Sunglasses – $300
2 ) Matthew Williamson Silk Scarf – $238
3 ) Balmain Motocross Denim Jeans – $1,265
4 ) Devi Kroell Large Roman Python Bag – $2,790
5 ) Helmut Lang Marble Print Tank – $189
* Not Shown – Vintage Moto Boots & Hannah Marshall Leather Power Jacket (S/S ‘09) – $995 available at Opening Ceremony
Wear it for Less:
6 ) Fantas-eyes Crazy 8 Aviators – $26
7 ) Charlotte Russe Marble Tye Dye Tank – $7.99
8 ) Urban Outfitters Silk Scarf – $19.99
9 ) Rocket Dog Women’s Checkers Motorcycle Boots – $69.95
10) Melie Bianco Snaked Out Tote – $98
11) Gap White Boyfriend Jeans – $25
Not to mention, each individual inexpensive piece is a great investment (all wardrobe staples for sure)
IT’S NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU WEAR BUT HOW YOU WEAR IT

You may have already seen these gorgeous Alexander McQueen Faithful booties all over Hollywood’s hippest but at a whopping $1,155 they may not be so accessible. Low and behold, Steve Madden, once again, changes that with a scarily identical offering…his Seryna booties available for just $129.99. Yet while you may not be able to tell the difference, this dream is still a crime, so you if you feel like you just can’t live without these beauties (we do know the feeling), you better act fast because word on the street is that Mr. McQueen is suing Madden for knocking off his copyrighted style. A hard choice, we know.

We don’t normally post about the same topic more than once, but we just couldn’t resist because our current muse, Miroslava Duma, just never gets it wrong! Fashion Week looks were simply perfection, obviously.

We thought our eyes were playing tricks on us as we walked passed the 34th Street Aldo window and saw DIY signs hanging above the ridiculously beautiful studded boots that were each so perfectly unique. Yet the signs were real, Aldo has, indeed, created an entire collection of DIY personalizable shoes! And if you can’t make it to a store to see for yourself, just hop online to choose from tons of pumps, boots and booties that can instantly become your very own one-of-a-kind treasures. Just add a few of Aldo’s DIY accessories: studs, chains, ropes, bows, grommets and so much more. The best part is that one-of-a-kind, at least this time, does not mean spending a thousand bucks. Fall head over heels as we did….check out aldo.com for more details.
